Miguel Cabrera hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI and John Lannan was able to finish
what he started and was credited with a complete game as the Tombstone
Huckleberries staged a dramatic comeback over the Jefferson Park Penguins by
a score of 9 to 7 at the ballpark.
Tombstone had the game winning rally in the 9th inning when they scored 5 runs
on 4 hits. The highlight belonged to Justin Maxwell who made the crowd come
alive when he lost the ball over the fence for three runs. Tombstone had 12
hits for the night.
Lannan(14-5) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 7 runs. Grant
Balfour(0-3) took the loss in relief. Doug Salzwedel was ebullient after the
game, 'It's great to win a hard fought game like that. Our guys just weren't
going to be denied. And did you see the fans - they were going wild! Yes
sir, a very enjoyable win tonight!'
